Hailstorm just shredded peppers, tomatoes, okra, pumpkins, southern peas, greens and herbs. Garden was just bouncing back from hard freezes. Oh well. I am a seed collector so no big deal. But my boat's canvas top looks like it was machine-gunned.
I planted a bit later this year so most seeded plants are still sprouting, corn is about 3-4” high green beans doing well. Carrots are coming in but they are slow growers. Got some red taters doing well, store bought peppers look real good. Peas are just sprouting. Cherry tomatoes looking good.
We are having an unusually cool year. I'm curious how the summer will follow. The idea of a cooler summer than usual sounds soo much cooler? eehh
Cassia, your tomatoes' colours look esp. amazing to me.
I had an intraocular lense operation 2 weeks ago and now I'm a cyboooorg! they've removed my natural lenses and put in a pair of human made multifocal lenses. I see better than I did with glasses, but then I had extreme far-sighteedness and also near and astigmat. And my degree was still going up! Now it won't ever and I won't have a cataract op later in life either. It's just two weeks but colours got better. Esp. blue and green. It's weird because I never thought I would live without glasses. I still keep looking for my glasses to get up from the bed, try to adjust the air...etc. Lol Science is amazing

Yey, that is AMAZING Shoe! I had the lasik as soon as it was available and yes, it was so great to not need thick glasses or contacts.
Oh, you were lucky Cassia. All the other kind of surgeries wouldn't work for me. Maybe because of that I didn't expect any other option would have a good end. It's pretty astonishing.
