Baloney Detection Kit - Food Quackery

This same guy got challenged to an "all bean diet" and turned it down (newsflash: humans need a variety of nutrients to live - just ask 18th century pirates or frat guys who try to live off pizza - same end result)
I forget the video, but there was some quack with a sensationalist hot take on the humble banana: BANANAS AREN'T FOOD! Then, in the actual argument, she claims that they're "stupid food" by claiming that they're genetically engineered (ok, they are - but is that necessarily a bad thing? People love seedless grapes and lemee tell you, they don't naturally come that way!) and then got into some other weird reasons to avoid the banana. But the main takeaway here is that she started with a shocking thesis, got your attention, then immediately abandoned it and got into the weeds and most of her audience was completely oblivious to this switcheroo and got fooled into thinking she made excellent points. Watch for that. People who deploy that stuff are nearly always charlatans.
